After his birthday dinner with Jaggers and Wemmick, Pip visits Walworth because Wemmick has invited Pip to his house in Walworth.

Pip returns to Jaggers’s office so that he can arrange to share rooms with Herbert. There Pip meets Wemmick, who invited him to dinner at his house.

While Pip's stay at Wemmick he observed that Wemmick looks to have a totally different personality at home as compared to his behavior at work. He was cynical and dry at work but at home, he seems more jovial and merry.
