What might make a stereotype selffulfiling

A stereotype can be self fulfilling when the environment and attitudes support the stereotype. For example the stereotype that all black girls have short hair. If you are a little black girl this can become a self fulfilling stereotype if you are told your hair is short and ugly plus you don't like it and wish you had longer hair. In your mind because you are black your hair is short.
