    The correct answer is evidence.

    For an argument to be valid, there must be proof, evidence, enough research and information to support it. Feelings, opinions, and ideas are not really relevant when it comes to an argumentative essay - as a matter of fact, feelings should be avoided in order to preserve objectivity.
