Find the GCF of 54a2, 84ab, and 10c.

    Well you find the answer by figuring out a number that all the three numbers have in common which in this case is 2 and it can't be 5 because 54 and 84 don't have 5s and you can't have a letter because the 10 doesn't have a a or a b so it's just two so the answer is 2 (27a^2+42ab+5c)

    The first thing to do is identify if each number is divisible. In this case, they are all divisible. Then find the the least number and test what are the factors of this number which is 10c. So the factors of 10 is either (2,5) or (10,1). So you cant divide 54a^2 and 84ab by 10 or 5. So try the 2. Then the result will be 27a^2, 48ab and 5c. If you cannot divide the numbers with a same number anymore, then you have the GCF which is 2.
