How would i start a 2 paragraph essay about 2 different characters in a book?

With a starring paragraph about the book and the first character and for the second one u could say like another character in the story ...

Well you start a paragraph with an open ending question so ask about the character then answer that question and do the same for the other one and then compare or explain why they are the main characters and how they contribute to the book
