    I believe either B. or D.

    but i am pretty sure B.

    I can't tell which word is underlined, so I'm assuming it's took, because that is the only verb I see, If it is took, the answer is B because a past participle is a verb ending in "ed" such as jumped, licked, searched, ect. took, does not and cannot have the ending "ed" therefore, it is just past tense.
