In the story Antigone, Creon blames himself for the tragic deaths of his son, his wife, and niece. Throughout the play, Creon becomes a proud king, extremely stubborn and not listening to reason by any of the characters. Due to his haughtiness, the Gods punish him by making him lose everything dear to him, namely his family. In the end, Creon only blames himself for all the tragedies that befall him.
