The main conflict in "Antigone" is C. Creon wants to dishonor Polyneices by not burying him, and Antigone give Polyneices a proper burial despite Creon's orders. The story picks up after Polyneices starts a war with his brother, Eteocles, after their father (Oedipus) dies. His brother won the war but ended up dying and so Creon became the new king. Antigone is the sister/daughter of Oedipus, she defies Creon (an uncle of sort) and buries her brother against his order.
