What do you call a person who puts a lot of effort towards a new interest (e. g. subject/activity) but after a short time totally loses interest in it?

    Someone who puts a lot of effort immediately and then stops and loses interest later on is someone whose motivation typically drains pretty fast. People who fall for this cycle have often problems with their life because they cannot stick with anything over a longer time period.
