Why did Romans create a written code of law?

A) to coto confuse their enemies and block invasions

B) to allow citizens to see and understand the law

C) to spread literature throughout the republic

    The answer would be B) to allow citizens to see and understand the law. Law has nothing with literature and religion, at least at that time it didn't. So if citizens understood the law, they abode by it, they respected it and didn't do anything to break it.

    The answer is B or C. But most likely C, the Romans were extremely Religious back then!
