What does the narrator of "Forbidden Fruit" learn at the end of the story?

At the end of the story One would realize how important to be obedient to our Creator because this is proof of our faith in him the narrator also learned about self sacrifice on not to indulge or take pleasure in any immoral or illegal deeds. Our actions always produce a consequence whether it is good or bad. We should be careful to our moral choice.
