How did mildred almost reveal montag's secret when beatty's was visiting?

Montag reveals to him that he may, yet he covertly settles never to go again. After Beatty leaves, Montag reveals to Mildred that he no longer needs to work at the fire station and demonstrates her a mystery supply of around twenty books he has been stowing away in the ventilator. In a frenzy, she tries to consume them, yet he stops her. He needs to take a gander at any rate once, and he needs her offer assistance.
