A rock that is trapped in the orbit of the Sun is called "asteroid".
Asteroids refers to the rocky worlds which are spinning around the sun that are too little to be called planets. They are otherwise called planetoids or minor planets. There are a large number of space rocks, going in estimate from many miles to a few feet over. Altogether, the mass of the considerable number of space rocks is not as much as that of Earth's moon.
Notwithstanding their size, asteroids can be unsafe. Numerous have hit Earth before, and more will collide with our planet later on. That is one reason researchers ponder space rocks and are anxious to take in more about their numbers, circles and physical qualities. On the off chance that a space rock is traveled our direction, we need to realize that.
