Which layer of the atmosphere holds the most water vapor?

The troposphere is the layer of the atmosphere that holds the most water vapor because it is the closest layer to the Earth. Most of the water vapor gets trapped in the troposphere mainly because it makes of about 80% of the mass of the total atmosphere.
