Friction is used when riding a bike when the brakes are used because when the bike stops there is friction between the tire and the floor it automatically makes you stop when the break is triggered

Friction is effectively used when riding a bike once it starts to brake. Friction is applied on the brakes to the tires so then it will effectively slow down until you put it on a stop, or if you just want to slow it down for a desirable and appropriate amount of speed based on the current situation as you ride the bike on the road.
