Why do the areas near the equator not have seasons?

    This is because the area around the equator and hit with the most sunlight and radiation because of it's angle to the sun. Therefore cold weather is unlikely as compared to the areas at the pole where the sun isn't that harsh, hence allowing for more weather patterns to form.
