The earth and the moon move at the same time, except they turn the opposite direction of each other. Some people might think during the day that the moon just wonders off to another planet and returns back to earth at night, but the truth is, it's always there! The thing is that in some countries, it might be day, but in some, it might be night at the same time, but different hour. The reason is because the earth only has 24 hours to tilt, but it takes the earth a year (365 days) to rotate around the sun. The sky is dark when night because the moon covers the sun rays from reaching the earth; it's like a huuge shadow. So next time you think that the sun is taking a rest in another planet in the day time, just remember that it's in the other side of planet earth!
