How does selection affect fixation?

    In biology, fixation refers to the change in the gene pool because of a certain type of allele became extinct.

    Selection is the act of choosing the most suitable mate based on the genetic characteristics.

    Because of selection, a certain genetic trait would be seen as undesirable and wouldn't be able to produce any offsprings, which would lead to fixation.
