What is degeneracy pressure, and how is it important to white dwarfs and neutron stars? what is the difference between electron degeneracy pressure and neutron degeneracy pressure?

    In a white dwarf, gravitational collapse is prevented by electron degeneracy pressure. this is a result of the pauli exclusion principle, which basically states that two electrons cannot occupy the same orbital/energy level at the same time.
