What would have been the conditions of india, if the himalayas were not present in the north but in south?

    A cold desert.

    Himalayas are the propellers of one of the most powerful rainfall (monsoon systems) of the world.

    In summer they stop the south west monsoon and thus cause heavy rainfall.
