    June solstice marks the beginning of summer in southern hemisphere, due the earth rotational motion and reverse properties of the both hemispheres.

    Explanation:

    The summer solstice is associated with the midsummer, occurs when the earth poles are the maximum inclination to the sun. A within the antarctic hemisphere there is continuous daylight as the maximum axial tilt is around 23.44 degrees. Depending on the shift of the calendar days the summer solstice occurs around Dec 20 and 23rd of the year. This is due to the earth moves in an elliptical motion. In the southern hemisphere, the sun moves from East to West. It contains about 60.7% of the water on the earth
