    Georges Lemaitre first propose his idea that the universe had a beginning and it has been expanding in 1927. His theory was strongly opposed by majority of the scientist because it lacks data, observations, or theories to support his idea. In fact his theory was dependent on the works of major scientist like Albert Estein, Friedman's etc.

    His theory enunciated that the earth had a beginning and their was a massive explosion of atoms, galaxies and other earthly bodies. Since then he believes the earth had been expanding to occupy the spaces and invariably become less dense. His theory has been modify as the big bang theory.
