The troposphere is the lowest layer of our atmosphere, starting at ground level and extending upward about 10 kilometers above sea level.
The stratosphere is the layer of our atmosphere above the troposphere. It extends from the top of the troposphere to about 50 km above the ground. This is where the ozone layer is found.
