Glaciation is the process whereby snow has been converted to ice by the force of gravity and pressure.

    Answer: Option A.

    Explanation:

Glaciation is a process or an activity where a particular area, or land is covered by the glaciers or simply say it is covered by large bodies of ice.

When a snow remains intact in a same area for years, that's when glaciers are formed. During the process of formation, the snow melts into ice due to the force of gravity and pressure. Every year, as the new layers of snow are formed, it crushes the previous layers of snow. During the process, grains are also formed which causes the snow to increase its density.

This process usually takes many years, and in some additional cases the years even exceeds to hundreds.
