One would need to carry out succinct observation about the procedure highlighted in the study. Then proceed to formulate a hypothesis. Hypothesis scientifically must be testable, repeatable and falsifiable. From this, an experiment can be set up to carryout more detailed observation. Explanations can then be drawn from patterns noticed in the process. The conclusion must be consistent with other scientific principles already in place and it must be a natural reason.
