Briefly describe what Charles Darwin observed about the finches on the Galapagos island?

    He observed that even though the finches had the same basic ancestry and while only living a handful of miles apart they had developed very specific beaks for their differing habitats. This is where most people view him as finding the basis for natural selection and evolution.
