What are the environmental concerns about the desert, and how do they affect the desert's ecosystem?

Global warming is increasing drought (dries up water holes and animals die)

High temps may increase wildfires (burns down animals' homes)

irrigation used for farming may lead to salt levels rising (that wont be able to support any plants.)
