    Crescent Phase

    Explanation:

Crescent is a blurred phase that occurs in the moon when it is less than half. During this phase, the moon is illuminated in some parts, and it keeps on decreasing from the lit towards the semicircle quarter until it completely disappears to resurface as a new moon.

During this phase the moon is usually thinner at night this is called waning, when it reaches the third quarter the moon shows as one side of the disc blurred while the other hand is dark.

Waxing Crescent Moon or Crescent Phases

    Explanation:

For starters Earthshine is when a rather dim light is present on the moon, which is a result of the sun reflecting light off of the Earth and onto the moon. I put in Crescent Phases with the answer, as some questions might bundle the crescent phases together.
