Atmospheric pressure decreases as altitude increases.

    Explanation:

The reason that an aneroid barometer is able to measure both the altitude and the atmospheric pressure is due to the face that the as air rise up its atmospheric pressure decrease. When measured form the means sea levels and on the ground, the surface the pressure is more thus the device can tell this difference. This instrument is essential for the weather analysis and matching the atmospheric pressure to the altitude. The average pressure on the earth's surface varies from 940 to 1040 Pascal. Thus the air becomes thinner as we move up the altitude.
