    Africa is nicknamed "mother continent" as it is said to have been where man have first lived in and originated from, according to archaeological discoveries and facts which dates back to more than 2 million years ago.

    The first hominins (primates which can be considered as directly ancestral to humans) in Africa emerged about 6-7 million years ago, and among the earliest anatomically modern human skulls found so far were discovered at Ethiopia
