The rocks that make up Iceland have a very specific age pattern related to the presence of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. What is this age progression?

Iceland is an island country located in the North Atlantic Ocean. The country is unique as it is ever growing in size, and also belongs to two different tectonic plates.

Iceland is located just above the divergent plate boundary between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Because the two plates are moving away from each other, Iceland is becoming wider, thus bigger, though eventually this will contribute to the country being split into two different islands.

The rocks on the island have a very specific age pattern. The ones in the central part of the island are the youngest, and the further west and east you are going on the island, the rocks become older. This is due to the formation of new crust at the divergent boundary, so the central part is getting new crust, and that crust is pushing away the older one in eastern and western direction.
