A perceptual region is the part of a region that is based on the shared feelings belief system and the attitudes, emotions, and thoughts of the people that live in those areas. They can also reflect the cultural identities such as the big apple in the new york region and they can also be seen as the functional regions that reflect the feelings of the people in a certain group of areas. A major and smaller city that surrounds the other areas that are affected by it like the Atlanta metro station that has 140 stations.
