The Caspian Sea (although called a sea, it is actually a lake) is the world's largest lake. It has a surface area of 143,200 square miles.

Lake Superior of Canada is the 2nd largest lake and Lake Victoria of Central America is the 3rd largest Lake. But the largest lake in the World is the Caspian Sea.
