Why do we have checks and balances in our government?

a. Because the constitutional document of Texas is based on the Aristotle's philosophy of the "Golden Mean".

b. So that goverment money can be spent without having cash on hand.

c. To keep one person or one branch of goverment from ever taking over all power and creating a dictatorship.

d. To make sure that government documents are accurate and professional.
