How did French and British leaders react to Hitler's annexation of the Sudetenland? A. They allowed these moves as long as Hitler promised to go no further. B. They declared war on Germany. C.     (A) is the most correct answer. This was part of the appeasement policy that took place at the outset of the war. Chamberlain felt that this was a way of attaining peace without running the risk of starting an all-out war.
