In short, conservation is leaving nature alone, while reclamation is bringing it back; both serve the purpose of preserving nature. Conservation includes making illegal actions that destroy the environment, using Nation Parks to protect certain areas, and even emissions control. Reclamation includes actions such as replanting trees and grass and resettling endangered wildlife after raising in captivity. Both are important to many places; conservation is more important to areas where nature is still untouched, and reclamation is important in areas where nature has been more tampered with. California, with both of these qualities, would regard both processes as important.
