The colonization of Europeans to the Americas did not often end well to the natives of the region. Europeans settled the colonies, bringing superior weapons, and diseases that natives cannot bear. The native Americans in the North Americas experienced loss of land and culture as European settlers burned down forests and turned them into farms and homesteads. Natives in the Caribbean, Central and South America also met the same fate, and many also end up becoming enslaved by their European conquerors. Therefore, European conquest decimated the Native Americans dearly.
