What kind of segregation still existed in the us at the end of the 1960's?

    Black people were typically separated from white people but were led by white officers. Signs in Public places would show where non-whites can legally walk, talk, drink, rest, or eat. Segregated Facilities ranged from White-only Schools to White-only graveyards.
