Why did the founding fathers focused heavily on unalienable rights being guaranteed by the U. S. government

After overthrowing the rule of a tyrannical government, it’s easy to see why the founding fathers wanted to ensure that the citizens would have rights that could not be taken away from them: they wanted to ensure that the people of the United States of America would never be subjected to such tyranny ever again.
