Great Britain believed that their strategy for a quick victory would bring the war to a quick close. What was the British strategy for a quick victory?

Use their navy to blockade German ports which would lead to economic problems and a lack of supplies for Germany.

March though Belgium to attack Germany.

Attack the Ottoman Empire so that it would stop annexing countries in the Balkans.

Build large fortress towns on their Eastern border. They did not believe that the enemies would be able to take these fortress towns.

    It would kind of act as a snake choking its victim. If it didn't have any supplies from countries abroad, then they didn't have any supplies to feed their troops or their population.
