    In 2003 the U. S Supreme Court found that antisodomy laws were unconstitutional in the case of Lawrence v. Texas. In its ruling, the Supreme Court h eld that intimate consensual sexual behavior was part of the fundamental liberties protected by substantive due process under the 14th Amendment.
