    The case of the US v. Nixon set the law over executive privilege. Nixon claimed presidential privilege was more important than judicial proceedings and subpoenaed items did not have be to handed over for the court. The Supreme Court decision stated in matters of the court and a judicial proceeding, executive privilege was not valid.
