An alliance with other Greek city-states to fight against Perisa. The Peloponnesian War was between Athens and Sparta, 431-404 BC, that resulted in the transfer of hegemony (domination) in Greece from Athens to Sparta.

The peloponnesian war ended the greek golden age. Greece became politically unstable. This war spread to other parts of greece, and other city states. It ended up weakening greece. Athens surrendered to sparta around 404 B. C.
