How was cooperation with the soviet union significant to the allied powers? it opened the war on another european front, dividing the german military. it showed that peace between communism and democracy was possible. it caused japan to back down out of fear of fighting another major power. it enabled better movement of supplies through its transport facilities?

    The one of the reason's why the Allies allied themselves with the soviets was because they wanted to open a new front. The Soviet Front would be so massive and would force Axis's units to spread even more, and to spread resources more. Though they were already spread out.
