    If there is a deadlock and nobody wins, the house chooses the president and the senate chooses the vice president. If there is still nobody chosen then the speaker acts as a president until a president is chosen. This is described in detail in the 12th amendment.

    The correct answer for 2 is

    C) the house impeached them and the senate acquitted them.

    They were the only two ever to be impeached and both were acquitted of charges by the senate. Clinton was impeached because of the scandal while Johnson was impeached because of issues regarding firing people and allegedly being corrupt.
