Why was the League of Nations rejected by Congress?

    Article X in the league of nations stated that if one of the nations in the league was attacked, every nation a part of the league was obligated to declare war against the aggressor. This overrode congress' power to declare war, which wasn't to congress' liking, so they rejected entering the League of Nations.
