Pure Marxists and Revisionists share a basic belief in the economic and social philosophies of Karl Marx. However, these notions and ideas differ quite greatly from each other. In general, Pure Marxists believe that Revisionism serves as a "safe" or "watered down" version of true Marxism. Revisionists often argue that there can be economic revolution without the use of force, something which Pure Marxists tend not to agree with. Also, Revisionists often focus on the importance of consumer goods over those of heavy industry.
