The three social classes in France were The First Estate or the Clergy, The second Estate or Nobility and the Third Estate or the remaining or vast majority of people. The Third estate actually contained the peasants, workers and every other general people. There was a clear demarkamation between the people and they were segregated on the basis of rulers and followers. The Clergy was made the First estate because they were considered Holy people and near to God. The nobility although alleged to be mostly rich people that remained drunk most of the time were below the Clergy. The peasants and labors worked for all.
