    In the Ming and Qing China Christianity could spred due to missionaries and some of the Cinese converted, Jesuits for exemple were held in high esteme in Togugawa Japan Christianity was persecuted as foreign custom and religion alongside all things of foreign origin (bodhissm for exemple was also partly persecuted)
