    The American revolution resulted in the colonies achieving independence from England. Slavery started before the revolution and continued afterwards for more than a century. Women's rights, including the right to vote, did not change significantly until the 1920's, 50 years after slavery ended. The American revolution was not the way that had an impact on either slavery or the status of women. Both developments came later on in history.
